2009 Commencement

Held at Epworth Villa, a lifecare community where our residents see patients, on Thursday, June 25, we enjoyed a wonderful evening of dining, celebrating our graduates, and enjoying just what makes Great Plains great - our people. Elizabeth Garrett MD, Chair, ABFM, gave a moving address that spoke to everyone present. Pediatric faculty member, Richard Stanford MD, presented one of his "special" awards to first-year resident, Russell Ingram MD. The second year class honored the graduates, Cara Bostrom MD, Kyle French MD, David Johnson MD, and Amanda Thomas MD, by individually presenting their gifts. Our incoming chief residents, Lisa Baych MD and Christy Kerr MD, organized the awards presentations in a way that added a personal touch to each event. We wish our graduates all the best as they take the next step in their professional journey. We are honored to have been a part of their lives.
