Dr. Owens Returns From Panama
Dr. Tomas Owens, Associate Director and faculty member, recently traveled to Panama to present at two different conferences. The Tenth National Conference of Family Medicine in Panama, Panama was held in conjunction with the Ninth National Conference of Adult Health of the National Social Security Health System and the Eighth Primary Care Symposia of the National Social Security Health System. Dr. Owens gave three talks - "Adult Immunizations," "Musculoskeletal Workshop - Shoulder Injuries" with Enrique Mayo MD, and "Evaluation of Incapacity in the Older Adult." Less than two weeks later, Dr. Owens traveled again to Panama to present "Preventive Care of the Adult Patient" at the Second Multidisciplinary Seminar of Physician Graduates -Alumni- of the Veraguas Province Health System in Santiago de Veraguas, Panama. We are proud to have Dr. Owens represent Great Plains on an international level.
