Healthcare reform will drive demand for more family physicians, and it looks like this will be a priority for the Obama administration. I was pleased that in his confirmation hearing for Health and Human Services Secretary, Tom Daschle mentioned family medicine and primary care many times, including the need for better reimbursement.
